WEEKEND PREVIEW: A busy weekend of action coming up this weekend

A busy weekend of cycle speedway action starts tomorrow (Saturday 19th August) with 2 National League matches for Kesgrave away at Newport and then Poole. Also on Saturday Hellingly stage their South East Division 2 and Youth League matches against Great Blakenham which were postponed on 9th July due to rider unavailability for the Suffolk club.

Maving on to Sunday and there is action in all 4 regions. In the South East region Great Blakenham have their 2nd fixture in 2 days as they welcome the Norwich Stars to the Mill Lane circuit for a Division 2 match which starts at 1pm. Hellingly will stage their 2nd home match in 2 days as they host Hethersett in a Division 2 and Youth league match.

The South & South Wales region will be the busiest region as all 6 teams will be in League action. Horspath welcome Exeter to The Village whilst Southampton will be at home to Poole. The 2 Newport teams will also be in action, this time at Underwood. Hopspath & Southampton will also stage Development League matches whilst the 2 Newport teams will have an Under 10 Challenge match after the main match

The North & Scotland Individual Championships will be staged at Bury whilst in the Midland League Wednesfield are scheduled to take on Birmingham at Ashmore Park.
