CLUB NEWS: A&T Floodlit Individual series confirmed

Mike Hack has sent in the following:

Spring is on its way, so that means that the start of the Cycle Speedway season is imminent!

Astley & Tyldesley are staging a three rounds March Floodlit Individual series, which is open to everyone!

So, whether you are:
a member of the Astley & Tyldesley Club
a regular Cycle Speedway rider for another Cycle Speedway Club
a racer in any other Cycling discipline
or someone who wishes to try out Cycle Racing

Then, you are all welcome to shake off the winter cobwebs , and enjoy some early season competition under the Gin Pit floodlights.

The rounds are all on Thursday evenings – 14, 21, 28 March. Registrations close at 7.00 pm, first race at 7.30 pm. Online registration is preferred, but bookings are taken on each night. Registration fee is £5 per round.

Astley & Tyldesley club bikes are available for riders to use on the night, at no extra charge.

A Ladder format will be used, with riders ranked in descending order of ability, age and experience.
Final positions for each round are determined by riders’ positions in the final round of races.
There will be an open draw for start positions in the final round of races.
Scores from all three rounds will count to the Overall Series standings.
