NEWS: Bury raise hundreds with Good Friday bike ride

Bury Cycle Speedway held their annual sponsored bike ride on Good Friday, a tradition now going back over twenty years.

Despite rather adverse weather conditions, a good sized group set out on this year’s ride, a predominantly off-road route starting and ending as usual, at Goshen. The event raises money for the club and a nominated charity and has raised thousands over the years.

This year should be no exception, with early indications suggesting that several hundred pounds will be going to this year’s charity, Cancer Research UK.

With heavy rain overnight the tracks and trails were saturated, providing a real challenge at times, but after a shower and a brew most riders thought that they had a good time!
