NEWS: Work on Dunfermline track underway

After a number of delays, work on the new cycle speedway track at Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline is finally underway.

Contractors commenced work early last week and, as these photos show, they have already made considerable process. The teacher leading the project, Craig Masson, is hopeful that construction works will be completed early next month with the first official meeting due to take place shortly thereafter.

Former Scotland Team Manager Gavin Kennedy said “I’m delighted that work on the new track is now underway. Craig Masson deserves tremendous credit for his dedication and commitment to the project and I’m looking forward to riding a few laps on the new track in the next month or so. Longer term, I’d love to see the Home International being staged in Dunfermline in 2017 or 2018”.
