MATCH REPORT: XL Motors Sabres winning streak continues

Coventry XL Motors Sabres won a hard fought encounter against Poole Comets in the Crossover League by 91-87. This means Lee Marsh’s team haven’t been beaten around Hearsall Common since July.

As expected, the match was excellent for the spectator with no end of excitement and action, as the away side delivered a typically committed performance.

The Sabres countered with some smart racing, crucial passes and were able to fend off a Comets comeback late-on.

Myke Grimes topped the scoresheet for Coventry, losing out only to Ben Mould who raced to a 20 point maximum for the Comets. Kyle Barlow and Mike Baldock delivered their best performances to date.

Overall though, a solid team performance for the Sabres sees their unbeaten run at home continue into April.
