CLUB NEWS: Norwich stage Presentation evening for 2019

Norwich Stars held their 2019 Presentation Evening at Wensum Community Centre on Friday 29th November. The estimated 50 people in attendance enjoyed an excellent buffet which was prepared by Paula Wenn. Thanks must go to Paula for this.
The trophies were then handed out and the Tuesday night riders received their awards before the presentation of the main awards which were won as follows:
Coaches Award: Connor Jarrett

Most Improved Rider: Scott Colby
Under 16 Rider of the Year: Josie Kell

Outstanding Achievement Award: Paddy Wenn for his success in the inaugural Grand Veterans World Championship
Star of the Year: Gary Colby

Steve Copping (Over 40’s) & Josie Kell (Girls) (both pictured below) also received their trophies for 2nd place overall in their respective categories for the South-East Grand Prix series, both riders having been unable to attend the final round at Norwich.

Special awards were handed out to Ellen Nierop in recognition of her efforts as the club’s First Aider, Faye Jarrett for running the Tuck Shop on Tuesday nights, Paula Wenn for her work as Club Treasurer and also for Veronica Medler for her work in the tea hut. Veronica was unable to attend so Jamie Medler collected this on her behalf
5 Novelty awards were also handed out by Dave Blackmore and these were as follows:
